Join Invicta Voices for a special performance of Puccini's colourful Messa di Gloria, supported by orchestra, alongside a selection of choral a cappella masterpieces that the choir have enjoyed performing over the last five years.
First performed in July 1880, Puccini's fabulous Messa di Gloria was composed when Puccini was just 18 years old. Messa di Gloria is full of colour, drama and it carries many 'Verdi-esque' characterisitcs. Verdi was of course one of Puccini's musical idols! Whilst a rarely performed work, this piece is full of energy and excitement and this is certainly not a concert in London to be missed.
